Manor lack momentum against Nuneaton

25 June, League, Home, Nuneaton

Nuneaton’s openers raced to 61 before Saj Amir struck in the sixth over with an excellent catch from Ian Hudson. The second wicket fell at the midway stage when David Bond collected a Mo Ozair throw to run out other opener who was beginning to dominate. Tight bowling, steady batting and a sharp catch in the gully by Martin Rose held the visitors back until more frequent late boundaries took their score to 157-3.

The run chase never gained momentum, and the Manor closed on 111-8, including Ian Hudson’s 17, John Pigott’s 28 retired and Austen Imber’s late 33.
