Under 13s Back To Winning Ways
WM League
Opposition: Bronze CC
Result: Won
AMCC 133 for 6 Wkts in 20 Overs
Bronze CC 15 All out in 10.3 overs
Determined to put the poor performance of the previous day behind them, it was obvious the team wanted to play well. So batting first against average opposition gave them just the chance – especially on a small pitch asking for boundaries to be hit. Amar again reached his retiring score – this time 50 supported well by Rahse (27) in an excellent opening stand. Mo and Usman added a quick few runs each before sloppy batting allowed 5 wickets to fall. James and Zafran then came in to add over 20 – although we are working on the running between the wickets guys.
Then the spin kings took over – using the slope of Bronze well Adam Nevitt and Reece Murray destroyed a batting line up that had no idea how to handle them.
Adam 3 – 2 – 1 – 3 and Reece 3 – 2 -1 – 3 had both pushed themselves down the batting order as our most experienced players and then came out to show what they could do.
An improved fielding performance also and Zafran looking more like it with some excellent takes behind the stumps increased the pressure before Connor 2 – 0 – 3 – 1 and then Rikesh 2.3 – 0 – 4 – 3 continuing the excellent bowling finished them off.
