Another Under 13s Win – This Time Vs Four Oaks Saints
Result: Win
AMCC 128 for 6 Wkts in 20 Overs
Four Oaks Saints 111 for 7 Wkts in 20 overs
A big game against a strong Saints team including a number of Warwickshire county players. But what a performance. Batting first the first difficulty was the rain and cold, but the guys ignored this in style.
An excellent start by Mo before being bowled for 15 – a big 6 for Rahse (it is 20/20 afterall).
Usman with 26 and then Reece with a boundary strewn 23 added consistant scoring, before Ryan scored a quick fire 11, including another big 6 for good measure.
Bowling against an experienced and strong batting line up could have been worrying, but the guys came out firing. Connor (yes we can have a Woakes effect as well) bowled 3 great overs taking 2 wickets for 10 runs – with the superb Adam “Nugga” Nevitt leading the team by example stumping Warwickshire opener George for a duck.
Excellent tight bowling then followed throughout with the main performances including:
Mo 3 – 0 – 16 – 1,
Ryan 2 – 0 – 9 – 1,
Rahse 2 – 0 – 6 – 1
Reece 3 – 0 –13 – 0
With Connor then returning to take a final wicket finishing with figures of 4 -1 – 15 – 3.
Top mention for fielding – all the work and practise paying off, with opposition comments saying they couldn’t believe the commitment, ability and agility of the whole team.
Well done and keep it up. Two Cup matches next up
