Tight finish against Moseley

Aston Manor 4ths 170 all out in 40,5 overs
Moseley 4ths 167 all out in 47 overs
Aston Manor won by 3 runs

A good opening start from Bilhal (43) and Reece Fletcher (31) saw Manor away. Unfortunately wickets then tumbled, only Liam Rake (41) offering resistance and Manor fell shot of the mark, all out for 170 giving Moseley 4 extra overs to get them in.

Liam Rake (6-0-23-1) and Kieran Carroll took a wicket in their first spells to keep Moseley under wraps early on. Steve Knowles (1-33 off 15) and Yo Parvez (1-34 off 9) kept it tight throughout the balls of the Moseley chase. With 12 overs still to bat Moseley needed only 40 to win with 6 wickets standing. Liam crocked, Kieran was brought back into the attack. A wicket in his first and second overs back saw pressure put upon Moseley, with 6 overs to go Moseley required 15 to win. Another wicket to Kieran gave us slim hope. Bilhal wheeled away at the other end, then with 3 overs left and 4 runs to win, dot, wicket (8 down), dot, wicket (9 down), dot wicket (All Out)!

Aston Manor won by 3 runs, a triple wicket maiden to seal it for Bilhal returning figures of 3-1-9-3. A superb return for U15 Kieran Carroll 11-1-39-4 opening and closing our attack.

Overall we got out of jail, but credit to all, no-one gave up and just maybe lady luck decided to shine down on us.
