Manor hammer Southam

Aston Manor 239 all out in 44,1 overs
Southam 82 all out in 30,3 overs
Aston Manor win by 157 runs

With Southam now defaulting their league status this match became a friendly and a chance for the force to re-establish some form. Put into bat unfortunately our first 3 wickets amounted only 27 runs by the 8th over and things looked desperate. In stepped Tony Heaney with another ton to turn things around, with youngsters Reece Murray in a 105 run partnership. Tony 109 in 74 balls (13 x 4s, 6 x 6s). Reece 32 at a run a ball ( 2 x 4s, 2 x 6s). Usman Rana chipped in with 33 before Manor finally saw the inning out at 239.

Southam never really took up the challenge against some solid bowling. Liam Rake at last getting his just deserts with a five-for (5 for 6 in 10 overs). Kieran Carroll 2 for 23 in 7; Geoff Knowles, Avon Turner (1 for 11 in 6) and Bilhall the other wicket takers to finish off Southam with next to 15 overs remaining.

Due to an injury, we even had a guest appearance behind the stumps. Beware the return of the Flying Pig; after a stunning behind Short Fine Leg catch Tsunami warning were dispatched.
