Fine Form Continues
Aston manor 230 for 7 in 45 overs
Walmley V 102 all out
A convincing 128 run victory to Manor
Electing to bat squirrels young and old took to building a good total to test a Walmley side that hadnt lost a point in all their played games. Steadied by the legendary Mick Neville (80), solid partnerships with Alex Rose (24), Tony Heany (22) and Jagit Sandhu (35) gradually weighed heavily against the Walmley attack. A fine 52 not out from Mehmood Dawawala saw 70 scored off the final 10 to post a stiff 230 target.
again tight opening bowling and fielding put Walmley behind the rate early, before WC Knowles (3-37) and Usman Rana (2-12) reduced the top order to 41 for 5. The job was finished off with 2 wickets a piece for Mehmood and Yo Parvez and a superb run out from Reece Hurray from cover point.
Above all an emphatic victory from a team enjoying their cricket, each others company and the odd spells of light entertainment from young and old alike.
