Sundays 2nds Finish 12 Runs Short In High Scoring Game
A high scoring match saw the Sunday seconds lose by a narrow margin against Cannock.
Cannock batting first amassed a total of 261 for 5, with opener Trapit unbeaten on 111. The only wickets falling were one each for the young Carrolls, one each for the Beast and Scott and a run out.
The chase started in grand style, with Alex Rose out scoring the Beast hitting his fifty off 25 balls and going on to finish with 68. Amrit then followed up with 50, Scott got himself bowled on 49 and Trent chipped in with 30. The top order all managed to get themselves out then unfortunately the chase faltered, with the middle order getting bogged down a little with only about 4 an over needed, and although the tail wagged a little we finished 12 runs short.
A gallant effort non the less for a young side, on a good track and fast out field.
