Manor thump Brewood

After losing the toss for two consecutive weeks skipper Shozab Haiders luck was changing he had opted to bat on what looked to be a flat wicket. An opening stand of 56 between Abdul Rahim (31) and Adam Nevitt (24) set the tone for the rest of the 1st innings with the Manor youth holding up in the middle of the innings with a brilliant display of batting by U15 captain Mohammed Haroon (94) and Zain Hussain (27) and a last burst by powerful hitter Adam Morris (52 not out) saw Manor reach their target with ease before declaring with 4 overs to go.

With their tails up the two Carroll brothers shared 8 wickets between them to rip through the Brewood batting line up, with great swing and seam movement, leaving them 3 short of 100. K. Carroll finished with brilliant figures of 7-3-15-4 and older brothers Shaun Carroll finished with 9-0-43-4. The dependable Ricky Bassi then came on to finish the job finishing with figures of 4-1-17-2.
