ASTON MANOR WON BY 4 WICKETS
Manor’s 2nd XI returned to winning ways with a fine all round performance at Fordhouses. The hosts were restricted to 214-9 from their 50 overs predominantly due to an impressive spell of spin bowling from Trent Turner (6-67). Abdul Rahim (2-43) and Paul Smith (1-35) were the other wicket takers.
In reply Manor’s batting was solid and consistent as they comfortably reached their target for the loss of 6 wickets. Youngsters Joe Griffiths (67) and Adam Nevitt (45) were the mainstay of the innings, both looking composed and assured. Abdul Rahim (35) and Waqas Younis (26) also provided valuable contributions in an all-round fine team performance.
