Woodys Wonders Win Again
Woodys wonders were again at their Sunday best as they comprehensively defeated Bronze by eight wickets at Church Road to maintain their position at the top of the Lichfield Sunday League.
After puttingĀ in his application to join The Diplomatic Corps, Shaun Carroll then proceeded to get himself removed from the Bronze Christmas Party list, before he, Brinder Paghura, Trent Turner, Amardeep Sonkar and Jack Hobbis shared the wickets to see the visitors bowled out for 112 after they had made a very promising start. Although wicket-less, Kieran Carroll also produced a very encouraging spell of bowling.
In reply, Dazzler was suffering the effects of a night out with Uncle Mickey and was dismissed early as the rain clouds gathered in ominous fashion. The call went out to Gary for quick runs, and he responded with an incredible blitz of 78 from 23 balls. Quite awesome! Trent could only look in admiration as he continued on his merry way (11 no), and then Brinder took on the mantle smashing 18 off 7 balls to see Manor through to an 8 wicket victory.
