Water Orton Are Victorious
With a heavily depleted team Manor won the toss again and opted to bat first, and the decision appeared to be justified following a splendid opening partnership between Imran Jamiel (53) and Chris Whittock (35). Peter Evans (51no) and Shozab Haider (22no) gave the latter part of the innings some good impetus with an exciting partnership as the visitors closed on 210-5.
Christi Viljoen (3-71) appeared to have bowled Manor into a match winning position when the hosts were reduced to 127-6 but a very sensible partnership between Gary Crouch (41no) and Nick Lawley (38) saw Water Orton to a three wicket success in the last over of another pulsating match.
The weekend results appear to have confirmed the relegation of Sutton Coldfield, and the other place would seem to be between either St Georges or Penn (who Manor visits on Saturday). However, Manor, Water Orton nor Evesham can yet take their place In Division Two for granted.
