Rain ruins top of the table clash against Oswestry
Unfortunately the 1st XI top of the table clash on Bank Holiday Monday between Oswestry and Aston Manor was ruined by rain and had to be abandoned. The weather did clear to allow a 30 over per side game to start. After Manor won an important toss, they made an excellent start in restricting their opponents to 40-3 from 13.4 overs before further torrential rain brought an end to the proceedings. Aurell Kirnon had been particularly impressive with the ball taking all three wickets, but with a similar fate affecting all games in the League Manor were able to hold on to 2nd place in the table with three games remaining.
