Rain intervenes again
Warwickshire Premier League
1st XI
Bablake O.B. 120 all out
Aston Manor 10-0
MATCH ABANDONDED
Not for the first time this season Aston Manor were denied a potential victory by the weather.
Despite being severely depleted in their bowling attack Manor had performed admirably to dismiss their opponents for only 120.
The star performer was Imran Khan who returned remarkable figures of 15-7-20-4, but a special mention also for veteran Stephen Knowles, who in making his first 1st XI appearance in over 10 years offered brilliant support taking 3-44 from his exhausting spell of 14 overs. Shaun Findlay 2-35 and Peter Evans 1-21 were the other wicket takers in a much improved performance in the field.
Manor had reached 10-0 from 4 overs before a violent thunderstorm turned Bablake’s ground into a virtual lake and scuppered any hopes of a Manor victory
