Following his fine innings of 70 in a losing cause against Streetly last weekend, first XI captain, Peter Evans, continued his fine form with significant contributions in victories against Wishaw and Aldridge as Manor completed their preparations for the forthcoming season.
On Saturday at Church Road against a Wishaw XI, Evans made a fine unbeaten 79 and with good support from Chris Whittock (71), Andrew Forman (54no) and Abdul Rahim (53) saw the hosts gain valuable batting practice in a huge total of 314-4. Despite a spirited response Wishaw were reduced to 185-8 with wickets being shared by Adam Rana, Shoazib Haider, Ian Prichard as well as Whittock and Forman.
