Aston Manor Cricket Club has received another grant, this time totaling £1,000 from Sport Relief Community Cash towards a summer holiday coaching programme.

Aston Manor Receive £2,000 Grant from Birmingham Sports Council
Aston Manor Cricket Club has received a grant of £2000 from Birmingham Sports Council. This grant will be used towards the purchase of a new outfield mower so we can maintain and improve the quality of the ground. The club is most grateful for the support shown by Birmingham Sports Council towards grassroots community cricket.

Senior Cricket Nets Dates Announced
Aston Manor Cricket Club Senior Nets will again be held at Handsworth Grammar School.
They will start on Thursday 2nd February and run for twelve weeks until Thursday 19th April.
Our time slot will be 08.15pm until 09.45pm (1.5 hours again).
Further details to follow nearer the date.

“Curry” Night at the Manor Sat 22 Oct 7.30pm
Members and non-members are invited to the curry night on Saturday, 22nd October, to help raise funds for the club.
Tickets are priced at £10 per head.
Starters, main dish and desert. Over 10 different dishes to enjoy.

Senior Nets Dates Announced
Aston Manor senior nets will start on Tuesday 1st February at Handsworth Grammar School, Grove Lane, Handsworth, Birmingham, B21 9ET.
Nets will run from 7-45pm to 9-30pm for 11 weeks until Tuesday 12th April and the cost will remain at exceptionally good value of £3 per session.

Chris Whittock Next For England?
Aston Manor opening bat 16 year old Chris Whittock has been invited by David Graveney to trial for the ECB pathway to England Under 17s at the ECB training HQ. The trial will last 2 and a half days and allow the England setup to see the top under 16s in the country perform.

Aston Manor Helps Warwickshire and England!
Aston Manor Cricket Club is certainly doing their bit in trying to help England regain the Ashes!
Warwickshire are currently providing the opposition to the National team in an important warm up match at Edgbaston.
